There were many powerful moments throughout the night – from speed painter Brad Blaze wowing the room, to an $8,000 diamond up for grabs in the raffle, heartfelt words from the Hon Chris Picton MP, lively auction from Toop&Toop’s Bronte Manuel, and emotional videos showing the extent of the Group’s impact.
A huge thank you to the event’s Diamond sponsors: Asher and Scott Salisbury Group.
Also to Gold sponsor Jones Radiology; Platinum sponsors Flinders University and CBB; and everyone who bought a ticket or donated an auction prize.
60 years of impact
The Hospital Research Foundation Group was first established in 1965 as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation, supporting a single hospital.
It changed its name to The Hospital Research Foundation in 2011 to expand its support across all public hospitals and communities in South Australia. It now also has a growing impact nationally, and encompasses 10 charities under its Group umbrella.
It is perhaps most known for its popular Home Lottery which was established in 2001. Fifty-two homes have been given away during that time, but more importantly, the Lottery has helped raise the $300 million reinvested into health and research initiatives.
