Our Commitment to YouÂ
At The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRFG) we’re dedicated to advancing life-changing medical research to improve the health and well-being of all Australians. THRFG includes several brands and controlled entities, all of which are covered under this policy. All legal entities in the Group are registered charities with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, are endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as Deductible Gift Recipients and can accept donations in accordance with our objects and purposes. Â
Your generosity makes our mission possible. We’re committed to using your donations responsibly, transparently, and ethically.Â
How We Accept and Use Your DonationsÂ
Your Impact Matters. Your donations enable our medical research, support patient care, and advance vital health initiatives.Â
We strive to fulfill the intended purpose of your donations, and if you would like to see your donation directed to a specific area of research, patient care or health service we will honour that request whenever possible. If your specific request is not feasible, we will work with you to find a way to use your donation in a manner consistent with our mission and your wishes. Donations without specific requests allow us the flexibility to direct funds to the areas of greatest need within our health and medical research programs, patient care initiatives and health and wellbeing services.Â
We carefully review all donations to ensure they align with our mission and values. We may not be able to accept donations that conflict with our mission or values, for example those from the tobacco industry. Donations will not normally be accepted from pharmaceutical companies unless there is an agreement for appropriate acknowledgement of the source of funds. We may also refuse a donation if we have reason to believe the donor is in vulnerable circumstances or lacks capacity to make a decision to donate.Â
In-kind donations of goods, services, or equipment are evaluated for their benefit to our mission. Non-cash donations are assessed and reviewed for their feasibility prior to acceptance, and we will communicate appropriately with you about this.Â
Protecting Your PrivacyÂ
We are committed to conducting our fundraising activities to the highest ethical standards, valuing privacy, confidentiality, trust and integrity. We are committed to complying with all applicable Federal and State laws, regulations and industry codes applicable to fundraising. Â
This commitment is demonstrated by:Â
