Planned Competitive Funding Opportunities for 2023

The following competitive grant rounds are anticipated to open this year. The specific details of each round and scheme Guidelines will be provided on our Current Opportunities page when finalised.

In line with our current practice, each round is expected to have an initial Expression of Interest (EOI) stage for shortlisting and invitation to a full application.

Broad-focus Rounds

  • Innovations for Ageing Well (Closed) 
    In the context of South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well 2020-2025, this round will seek innovative, evidence-based approaches to sustainably enhance the health and wellbeing of older South Australians. 
  • Child & Adolescent Healthy Minds (Closed for EOIs)
    In the context of The National Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2021-2030, this round will have two streams seeking applications addressing key challenges and unmet need in (i) Mental Health and (ii) Neurodevelopment.

Specific-focus Rounds

  • Advancing Lymphoma Diagnosis & Treatment (Closed for EOIs)
  • Improving Quality of Life after Bowel Cancer (Closed for EOIs)

We will aim to provide reasonable advance notice of round openings to institutional research offices and will also endeavour to have scheme guidelines and/or relevant documentation available prior to the opening of a round.
