The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group and its charity Kidney Transplant and Diabetes Research Australia (KTDRA) is pleased to invite proposals from health and medical researchers for its 2024 THRF-KTDRA CNARTS Research Project Grant Round focused on supporting research into kidney disease, transplantation, and diabetes research.
In this round, THRF Group welcomes innovative research proposals in these areas that are:
- led by a staff member of the Central and Northern Adelaide Renal and Transplantation Service (CNARTS) or with meaningful CNARTS staff member involvement on the investigator team
- ready to commence by or before June 2024
- currently unfunded or have funding due to cease by or before June 2024.
Proposals are expected to describe the “next steps” whereby the anticipated outcomes from the research could be progressed and sustainably implemented to deliver beneficial health and wellbeing impacts for the target cohort, as well as the community more broadly.
THRF Group encourages the combination of suitably experienced research and clinical personnel in the project team, transdisciplinary teams combining ideas and approaches from different fields, and the inclusion of early career researchers. Effective and meaningful consumer participation and engagement is also highly encouraged.
Proposals may request funding of up to $50,000 total for a maximum of two years.
We are seeking to fund projects which do not duplicate or substantially overlap with existing projects or pending proposals. Please refer to the Guidelines for more details.
Applications will only be accepted via SmartyGrants and must be submitted by the deadline of 4:00pm (ACDT) Wednesday 1st November 2023.
