Australian Breast Cancer Research Fellowship – Open
The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group), the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research (BHI) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) are pleased to invite applications for the Australian Breast Cancer Research Fellowship 2023.
The Australian Breast Cancer Research Fellowship seeks to identify and support a senior research fellow to lead a 5-year program of research on the prevention, detection, management or treatment of breast cancer, primarily located at the Basil Hetzel Institute of Translational Health Research (BHI) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).
The Fellowship and program support funding of $275,000 per annum for 5 years is offered via a competitive, application-based process and is open to research-active clinician/health practitioners, and health and medical research scientists of national and international standing who are looking to join the BHI, TQEH research community.
Prospective applicants must discuss their intention to apply for the Fellowship with the BHI’s Director (Professor Guy Maddern) and the BHI’s Director of Innovation & Research Translation (Ms Carmela Sergi) prior to submitting an application. These discussions are essential to ensure alignment of the proposed program of research to the BHI mission and strategy.
Applications will only be accepted via the SmartyGrants platform and must be submitted by the deadline of 4:00pm (ACDT) Tuesday 31 January 2023.
