A/Prof Mathew’s legacy extends beyond his time at TQEH. He was instrumental in establishing early organ donation protocols and systems in South Australia, a model that was adopted nationally. His work in developing the ANZDATA Registry, recognised as the world’s finest of its kind, laid the foundation for essential data-driven research in kidney disease.
