Recently, we learned more about the hurdles our regional cancer heroes face, the long travels to Adelaide for treatment, the stress, and the massive financial burden. It’s heartbreaking, and honestly, we think it’s time we stepped in and sprinkled a little Adelady magic.
Enter - Pineapple Tribe
This is our way of wrapping our arms around those in need and giving them a safe, comfy space, in Adelaide near cancer treating hospitals. We’re talking about funding an entire “Under Our Roof” house for a year! But here’s the thing – we can’t do it alone.
We’re calling on you, our fabulous Pineapple Tribe, to join the fight. Think of it like our own little club of warriors, making SA a tad brighter, one promise at a time. By joining, you’re not just giving money, you’re gifting hope, love, and those warm fuzzy feelings to those who need it most.

Our country friends are battling challenges we can hardly imagine. A cancer diagnosis is tough enough without the added stress of travel, costs, and distance from loved ones.

The further our regional mates are from the city, the tougher their journey becomes. And trust us, it's not just about the kilometres. It's a tough journey, and we think it's high time we all rally around to lend a helping hand!

Imagine having to travel over 100km for treatment. And for some, it's more than 500km. Add to that the expenses, time, and the sheer exhaustion of it all. No one should have to make that trek, especially when they're already fighting the biggest battle of their lives.

The strain doesn't end with the travel. There's the anxiety, the cost, and the tug-of-war on the heartstrings when away from family and friends. Sometimes, it becomes so overwhelming that our regional champs delay or even skip their treatments.
This is where our Pineapple Promise shines. We aim to ease this journey, even if it’s just a little. But to sprinkle this kindness, we need to understand the depth of the challenge. And who better to tell us than those who’ve walked the path?

That’s where Under Our Roof jumps in!
Imagine a cosy, warm place, nestled in Adelaide, just waiting to wrap its arms around our regional folks battling cancer. We’re talking about homes that are more than just bricks and walls. These are loving spaces where country patients and their tribes can huddle together, seeking solace and comfort.
These homes are run by our friends at The Hospital Research Foundation Group, and they’ve already helped hundreds of families in SA, but they need our support to keep them going!
